I have been blessed with success in an industry I love. My career began as a financial analyst and tenant representation specialist for the largest commercial real estate firm in the world. Over the years, I’ve represented some of the most recognized companies in the world including Home Depot, AT&T, GMAC, and Deutsche Bank.

Eventually, I launched my own brokerage in the U.S.—which I still own today—adding residential services to my repertoire and co-founded a construction company, becoming a Licensed General Contractor. Not satisfied to stop there, I went on to become IICRC certified in mold remediation and water mitigation to further assist my residential and corporate clientele.

As an African American traveler, I am always looking for the footprints of the Diaspora, and in Portugal, they are everywhere. From the distinct architecture to the vocabulary—like the word oxalá having roots in inshallah—the Moorish legacy is alive here.
